Meghan's Customized Wedding Gown
Meghan is such a Minneapolis treasure. She is one of its talented jewelry artists specializing in silver, brass, shapey, and geometric designs. This kind-hearted talent graced us with a visit when she was looking for her wedding dress. She brought her trusted gal-pal, fellow designer Anna Chambers-Goldberg with her to try some gowns on.
Meghan’s wedding was at Landscape Arboretum so she wanted something softer and romantic to go well with the fall florals at the venue. She tried on our Anna gown and got very excited about the look. She loved the buttons in the front, the bishop sleeves, and the soft a-line silhouette.
When we say we played “dress up,” we mean more than just trying multiple dresses on. We mixed and matched laces, laid fabric over shoulders, and really used our imaginations to see how we could customize Meghan’s dress.
Meghan loved the idea of adding some graphic lace to her neckline with matching details on the cuffs. She also asked that we use the buttons from her mother’s dress for the closure. They were a perfect match and just the right touch for the dress. With a knee-high center slit, the silk crepe gown billowed when she walked.
Meghan made her own cascading earrings that pulled the whole look together. She and Patrick’s wedding was heartfelt and filled with their dearest family and friends. It was captured but another local talent, Madison Holler of Rubinski Works.
