Ava's Romantic Customized Gown

Ava enchanted her guests in her customized Lark gown from our Take Flight collection. Her intimate wedding was romantic and airy surrounded by Minnesota greens and forrest.

Ava came searching for a dress with one of her best buds. She had been shopping around for a while and could not find what she wanted. We played dress up together and tried on some beautiful pieces in the atelier.

Ava had a general sense of how she wanted her gown to feel. Soft, romantic, some lace, and a long train were a must. But, it was not until she put the Lark gown on that she had her “aha” moment.

The Lark wrap gown is detailed with lace flutter sleeves and layers of buttery silk crepe de chine. Lace appliques throughout the bodice reflect the light and give the gown just a little sparkle. We also used some lace from her mother’s wedding suit! It was a beautiful brocade tailored suit with lace and pearl detail. We were able to take a little off while still preserving it. When Ava first put it on, she beamed. 

We added a few customizations to make her gown one of a kind. With a bit more lace and extra long layers of tulle, Ava’s gown fit her vision perfectly.

She brought her friends and family to her fittings to watch the dress as it was being made and tailored to her. Every step from the initial pattern fitting to the layers of lace being added was an absolute joy with Ava.
