Camrose Hills is a gorgeous flower farm and wedding venue in Stillwater, Minnesota. Its proprietors have created a beautiful place for weddings with seasonal flowers that bloom from spring to summer. When Emily and her mother, Becky, came in to the atelier to shop for just the right gown to match the Camrose venue, I knew we were going to find something special.
Emily knew she wanted something more minimal. A bold, yet softer look that would flatter her and not be over the top. She wanted something comfortable and chic that she could look back on years later and be proud to have worn.
It was between two dresses at first. Emily loved our Anna gown with bishop sleeves but once she decided on our two piece gown with scalloped skirt from our Take Flight collection, we all leaned into the choice. Over several months, Emily visited the shop on Saturday mornings with her mom for fittings.
Emily made a few customizations to make her dress one of a kind. She wanted a more structural bow that tied in the back of the dress so we used a stiffer silk faille fabric. Her top closed in the back with covered buttons and we finished the dress with a cascading bustle for the reception.
Emily paired a borrowed golden hair piece and a pair of metallic heels with her dress. She got ready in the Camrose Hill bridal cottage and had a warm fall wedding day surrounded by her friends and family.
