Rachel's Custom Wedding Gown

Having looked months for a gown with a specific vision in mind, Rachel was not having any luck finding what she wanted. She envisioned a high neckline, modest back, puff sleeves, and couture details. When we met, I was so excited about her dress ideas!
Rachel and her mother, Heather came to the atelier for every step of the design process. We had warm and energetic appointments the months leading up to the wedding.
From sketch to mock up, the dress was designed with refinement in mind. Because the dress was one of timeless elegance, the couture finishing had to be done with care and excellence. It needed to be well tailored and comfortable for a full day of celebration.
Rachel chose a decadent silk faille fabric in ivory. This fabric is so full of body and volume. It bounces and moves with the wearer and is ideal for a twirl!
Completed with 45 buttons, some at the back and on the cuffs, a 16 point bustle, pockets, and a sweeping train, and topped with a hand stitched cathedral length veil, this gowns elegant refinements set it apart and made it truly, one of a kind.
This might be my favorite picture from 2018. Way to go Couple of Dudes!
It was such a pleasure to work with Rachel on her custom wedding dress for her November wedding in Chicago. Rachel’s gown was as classy as she is. I loved being a small part of her wedding day.
My favorite pictures are always from the dance floor!
