Heidi + Molly's Custom Wedding Gowns

SO SO much to say about these two amazing women. Heidi first came into the shop with her sisters and mother. She had found the woman of her dreams. Heidi met Molly in a yoga class (Molly was the instructor) and needless to say, they fell hard for each other. After some time dating, they were making plans to take the next big leap together.
Heidi was looking for something sleek and sophisticated. She had a good idea what she wanted - collar, halter neckline, and modified fit and flare skirt. We had a blast brainstorming together during her initial appointment. So much fun in fact, that Heidi was sure Molly would love having a dress made too.
Molly had already purchased a gown from another designer in NYC. It was a beautiful gown but it did not seem the dress was exactly what Molly was hoping for. With a little imagining, Molly got excited about a convertible dress that transformed into a pantsuit.
Once we had our designs planned out, we began meeting for fittings. People always ask if brides see each other’s dresses beforehand. The answer is, some brides do share their fittings with each other, and some do not and keep it a surprise. Molly and Heidi decided to share the experience together and it was so much fun watching each dress/convertible pantsuit as it went from cotton muslin mockup to tailored silk.
I loved working with these two. They were enthusiastic and fashion forward. Both were excited to take some risks, like Molly with her plunging neckline, and make each look their own with just the right shoes and jacket to brave the Minnesota winter.
Their intimate wedding was filled with warm candle light, good food, and their closest friends, and family.
