Allison brought an entourage with her for her very first appointment at the atelier. Her group of friends and family were energetic and enthusiastic for her to find THE wedding dress. Allison had a vision of a lace sleeved gown with a structured A-Line skirt. She was excited to learn about all the customizations she could have with our wedding dresses. With a little mixing and matching of necklines, sleeves, and skirts, she dreamed up the Allison customized wedding dress.

As always, we began the journey with a muslin mock up of Allison’s wedding dress. As soon as I got it to fit her just right, I started sewing the dress in a delicate, yet bold lace and shimmering taffeta.

Allison just glowed every time she came in for a fitting. Getting to know her and some of her fierce girlfriends was such a pleasure through this process. I learned about how much of a connector of people Allison is and how much she loves small business. She is always match making her friends and connecting people to good resources. It’s no surprise she had such a big group there to help her celebrate her wedding to Ben in October.

Fairy tale moment here. Thank you, Minnesota, for the perfect gust of wild and autumn foliage.

Now those are some squad goals!

Most important to Allison’s custom wedding dress journey was that she married the guy she loves feeling beautiful and authentic. That big smile tells the real story.
